Ring re-sizing / adjustment

Whether you need to go up or down a ring size, we can arrange this for you. Why not come in and see us for an estimate and to have your size taken. Every project is different,  so pricing for ring resizing is provided free after we examine the ring.  Not all rings are suitable for adjustment due to design or technical reasons but our team will be able to advise. When enlarging rings  we generally add matching metal to the ring ensuring that the ring does not become thinner and is not harmed or devalued by the alteration, the only exception to this rule is with some plain band style rings which we can machine size if it is small adjustment in size.

Jewellery Cleaning & Polishing?

We undertake all polishing and refinishing of jewellery to bring it back as new. We specialize in Platinum Polishing which requires different polishing compounds and mops to Gold or Silver.  Our workshop uses a combination of equipment and tools  and cleaning solutions to find the best process for the any given item. We use flexi shaft polishing motors, fixed polishing motors,  magnetic pin finishing, drag finishing and ball burnishing.  We do also sell home jewellery cleaning solutions which are great for brightening up your jewellery that is looking a little neglected.

Rhodium Plating of white gold jewellery

When white gold jewellery is manufactured it is generally polished and given a final finish with another precious metal called Rhodium to provide that beautiful white appearance.  Over time, depending on wear and use this Rhodium finish becomes scratched and worn away allowing the underlying colour of the white gold alloy to show, but this is not a problem and is quite normal. Our workshop can bring your white gold jewellery back to life,  so the process requires us to carefully  prepare your jewellery, then polish and clean the items ready for the Rhodium Plating process.  Most of the work we do is Rhodium plating of rings as they tend to take the most wear and tare with day to day wearing.  Rhodium plating prices for rings start at £40.

Replacement claws

If you have lost a claw or if your claws have worn away over time we are able to restore your items back to their original beauty. We offer a re claw service and specialise in repairs to claws on all gold and platinum diamond jewellery.  If you have lost a stone we are able to supply most Coloured gemstones and Diamonds and hold a large stock of old cut stones that are invaluable when restoring a period piece.

Jewellery redesign / new ring  mounts

If you have a special piece of jewellery that just doesn’t suit your style, why not re-design it into something you will treasure and wear often. For further information please call in to see us to discuss your requirements. We are able to use computer aided design (CAD) and 3 D printing to create images and models prior to starting the commission in precious metal.

Replacement Ring Shank

Over time rings gradually wear down with normal wear and tear, this is not always time to renew but time for renovation. With most rings the band “ring shank” can be replaced with new metal allowing you to enjoy your jewellery for years to come. Pricing for replacement half shank or full shanks is estimated once examined in store.
